I feel naked without the app. After more then a week after making the switch to Android from iOS, I’ve found that instagram is the only thing I really miss.</p> <p>I’ve found plenty of games that I enjoy on android (though I don’t game on my phone much), and there are a slew of social apps to keep in touch and share my random lame photos with the internet (like the one above). I think after another week of use, I’ll post a mini review of my thoughts on the Galaxy Nexus and making the switch. Maybe a video? Who knows. So, I finished up, washed my hands, removed the towels from inside it, grabbed my gear, and began shooting photons between it’s cracks.</p> <p>I was curious as to what it might look like. I had an idea in my head, and while it fairly accurate, it was nice to see the idea captured for all to see. I find myself doing that quite often, except I never pull the trigger. I end up leaving that imagery stuck inside my head, where I cannot even begin to describe to a third party. </p> <p>Today was different. I told myself, “Why wouldn’t you try it? So what if it comes out looking like crap, it will only eat up a few minutes of your time, and prove to scratch your creative itch.” This change of thinking was triggered by the recent road trip. During the road trip, I went a bit out of my comfort zone, and explored with my camera more then usual. This is a trend I hope to keep going, as it’s proven extremely rewarding. This past month, I’ve produced some of my favorite images I’ve ever taken. I am quite pumped to sit down in front of my computer and get to work. I think I’m going to work on editing the video first. That will likely take me the longest. But I’ll chop away at a few photos here and there to keep the flow going. </p> <p>Anyways, here is a shot I took at the Oklahoma City National Memorial. It was a pretty emotional place to be shooting at… We had the whole place to ourselves, which really helped me take my time and get shots I wanted to get. The only problem was, this was when the lens I rented crapped out.
